Ride and Route Info

We will meet near the fountain between the Metropolitan Water District building and Union Station, and chit-chat about our bikes until our roll-off time. (note: NOT the fountain near the Patsaouras Transit Plaza)

After getting off the train, we will follow this route, which takes us on a tour of Pasadena’s East Side. After the ride you may choose to attend a luncheon at Sun’s Restaurant  (we will take the Gold Line back to Highland Park station). If you choose to eat lunch with the group, please note this in the sign-up form so a head count can be made

What to bring:

Minimum of $5 donation, in cash or check made payable to “World Bicycle Relief.” Cash donations will be pooled and donated in memory of Sheldon Brown.

Exact change for Metro fares:

>$5 for an all day pass, which allows for unlimited rides on any Metro bus or rail for the day

>$1.25 for a single, one-way ride.

Anything else you need to ride (water, snacks, tools, sunblock etc.)

Route 

The route is multi-modal and will include public transportation through the Los Angeles Metro system.

We will be riding the Gold Line train to Sierra Madre Villa Station. This will give us a chance to put folding bikes through their paces as we go multi-modal!
